Brenda Bradshaw, Ph.D. UMKC B.A. Elementary Education, taught all grades UMKC M.A. Reading Education K-12, taught Title I Reading UMKC Interdisciplinary Ph.D. Education and Urban Leadership & Policy Studies in Education, dissertation in upper grades comprehension Assistant Professor of Elementary Education at Missouri State University, trained and supervised elementary education majors and also taught content reading and writing strategies to middle and high school teachers Conducted professional development workshops on upper grades reading comprehension, Building Attention/Concentration through Listening, Critical & Creative Thinking Across the Curriculum, Building and Teaching Integrated Thematic Units Author, Young Adult Novel: Crystal Brave: Earthquake at the Taum Sauk Owner, Publisher and Youth Editor at Goldminds Publishing Karen Nelson is Curriculum Coordinator for Goldminds Publishing. She authors educational theme units for the Young Adult line, as well as additional teaching materials. As a certified teacher and homeschooling parent, she believes in bringing the best of both worlds to her educational perspective.
