I am a person with a positive attitude, creative, flexible and open mind. I enjoy collaborating with my colleagues and finding ways to be innovative, learn from each other and use technology purposefully and effectively. My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment. It is my goal to create an atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I provide an environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks. I believe in learning driven by the children themselves. In my class, I encourage learning from peers and our surroundings. We create an environment of asking questions and tuning to deeper listening, intentional reflection, and a growth mindset. It is my role as an educator to support life-long learning and encourage children to take action. The ideal learning environment is endlessly engaging and fun. My classes nurture in students their 21st-century skills: critical thinking, communication, creativity, problem-solving, perseverance, collaboration, information literacy, technological skills and digital literacy. I like to plan my lessons using design thinking and by setting individual learning plans, encouraging self-assessment and conducting frequent formative assessments I like to apply personalised learning. I aim to bring high expectations to the classroom and a mindset of not fear making a mistake. My goals as an educator are to prepare students for their future, to be global citizens, and to lead them to take action toward a better world.
