Genius Glasses

We are 3 creative New York City public school teachers with over 17 years experience using the Arts to inspire academic excellence. We combine our expertise in elementary and secondary education, professional development and arts integration to challenge and engage a wide range of learners.

Courtney received her B.A. in Language & Mind from New York University and her M.A. in The Art of Teaching from Queens College. Alice received her B.F.A. in Photography & Imaging from New York University. Tracee holds a B. A. in African-American Studies from UC Berkeley, an M. A. in Education from Brooklyn College, and is currently pursuing an advance certificate in Digital Media Design for Learning from New York University.

Courtney has taught 3rd grade for 8 years in both general education and collaborative team teaching settings. She is currently working as a teaching artist. Alice's photography has been featured by The New York Times and other international publications. She has taught photography and arts integration to underserved youth and their teachers since 2002. Tracee is a teacher and curriculum developer who loves to design media-based learning experiences. She has developed and implemented K–12 curricula, professional development workshops, and technology-based educational materials through her work with arts organizations and museums.
