MY TEACHING STYLE

Authentic communication is one of my core values in life and in teaching a world language. My units are crafted with this in mind. While my units are comprehensive and designed to lighten the teacher's load, I do not believe in print and play worksheets or ¨no-prep¨ units. My units will be right for you if you are comfortable with proficiency based teaching and adapting your materials to your learners. Before teaching with these units, I encourage you to learn more about Storylistening at www.storiesfirst.org. Storylistening methodology introduced by Dr. Beniko Mason and inspired by the linguistics work of Dr. Stephen Krashen. My middle school students (7th and 8th grade) have easily acquired 300+ words and grammar structures per year since my transition to storylistening as my primary method for delivering content.
