TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a certified K-12 music teacher who has taught K-5th grade general music for 7 years. I am also certified to teach middle-level math, middle-level English, and Music Together, and I hold my K-12 principal certification.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Although I have not received additional training, I especially love incorporating the Kodály music method into my classroom!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

In 2016, I presented at the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association Annual In-Service Conference about expectations of a first-year teacher. During my time in college, I received the award for best student teacher among my colleagues.

I love teaching at the elementary level, as that is where the love of music begins! With a strong elementary music program, students hold the key to future musical success! I live in western PA with my husband, two amazing daughters, and our sweet cocker spaniel, Pepper!
