TEACHING EXPERIENCE

4 years Jr. High, 6 years High School

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to have fun in class! We do a lot of group games and activities, we focus on output more than grammar, though I still love teaching mechanics. I am super excited to start blended learning this year, you can expect me to be posting new blended-related activities soon! I currently use the Allez Viens series (I do not strictly follow the book though) so my activities are often based off that book.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have had students place in the state and national levels of Le Grand Concours every year for the past 4 years. I have 5 students (so far!!) who have gone on to study abroad in France, and 2 of them are getting their degrees in French Education....that's the best award I could ever ask for.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

Washburn University (1999-2003) with a degree in German University of Klagenfurt, Austria (summers of 2001 and 2002) Washburn University (2004-2010) degree in French Université Laval, Québec (summer of 2009) Alliance Française of Chicago (summer 2010)
