TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have worked in various schools in urban and suburban settings, but my favorite schools are small, rural schools. I have worked in the regular and special education field for a decade. Grades 1 through 8 are my specialty but fourth grade holds a very special place in my heart.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I greatly enjoy teaching my students to become curious, independent learners. I strive to have my students discover what type of learner they are. My students complete many small group activities that focus on team-building, collaboration, and creativity.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I was born and raised as a teacher's daughter. I always loved school and exploring the world around me. Of course being an educator would be the perfect calling for me! After graduating from college I was fortunate to spend a handful of years working in urban and suburban schools in the special education and primary fields. But I have never been happier than I am today; teaching fourth grade in a rural school in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a teacher, a wife, and a mother. I love teaching in a small, rural school, as that is the type of school I grew up in. When I'm not busy teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, watching and playing many sports, and exploring the great, big world around me.
