I started teaching Physical Education at the elementary level in 2014. I have taught at every level of elementary education, including Pre-K through Fifth Grade and Adapted PE.
I am very passionate about making Physical Education engaging and inclusive for all students. I have created my own curriculum that includes skill based learning, fitness, nutrition, health education, cross-curricular activities and sports to include a well-rounded Physical Education for all of my students.
Throughout my teaching career, I have won several awards for "School of the Year" through my fundraising program with American Heart Association. I started a running club for my school, which we do every year, and I also created our own fundraising program, which donates to a new charity each year. Last year, we raised over $26,000 for our fundraising program!
I received my Bachelors degree in K-12 Physical Education, with a middle school endorsement, from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. I also earned my degree for Masters of Science in Education. I then went back to school and received a Specialist in Educational Administration Masters degree.
