TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching since Fall of 2014, so this is my 6th year and I love every minute of it. I currently teach AP® Computer Science Principles and AP® Computer Science A. I've taught AP®CSP for a year and a half, and I am working on my 3rd year for AP®CSA. I am also the owner of a Tailwind Tribe called "Computer Science Education" where we share CS resources. MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is different than many teachers. Most of my classes are half and half, in that, I teach new material for half the time and the students work the other half. Also, I model my classroom after the atmosphere of Google. The students are allowed to work puzzles, do logic puzzles, and play video games if they finish their work.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelor's degree from ETSU in Mathematics and a Master's degree from MTSU in Mathematics, as well. I learned to program at both ETSU and MTSU. I used to know 7 different computer languages. I loved teaching so much at MTSU that I went to the University of Tennessee to receive my licensure.
