After internships and student teaching grades K, 1, and 5; I taught one year in a wonderful school in southeastern North Carolina in 2nd grade, 2 years in TN and then a year of 3rd grade in TN as well. Since my husband is military we have now moved duty stations, and I teach in an amazing school back in North Carolina; where I have taught Kindergarten and now 4th grade.
Dynamic. I am a firm believer that the more you can get students engaged in what you are wanting them to do, the easier it will be to get them to remember the information you are putting out there. I also believe that you get out of it what you put in to it. Students and children in general are an investment, and if you put the time and effort into them, they will return your effort tenfold. I try to be as multidimensional as possible in my classroom, but I know I fall short. Its all about learning! The day I quit learning as a teacher, will be the day I shouldnt teach anymore, and I am a true believer in that.
