TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher, English language teacher (TESOL, TEFL, EFL, ESL, ELL, EL, ESOL, etc...), teacher trainer, adjunct professor and administrator in a variety of settings, including K-12 public schools, private language schools and universities. In addition to being the Director of Studies at Everyday English®, I am currently working in the K-12 public school setting as an instructor and coach.

I follow a student-centered approach, always working hard to differentiate and personalize content, materials and learning experiences.

I have received several awards for my contributions to the field. Recently, I was recognized by the Ohio Department of Education for my outstanding service to students of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. I received my Master's Degree in TESOL from Ohio Dominican University in Columbus, Ohio. I've earned the Trinity College of London TESOL Certificate. Most recently, I earned my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
