I'm a veteran educator with thirty years experience in an array of teaching assignments. My background is speech/language pathology but for the past twenty years, I've been involved in various capacities with teaching English learners K-12 and in teacher education of English language learners. I have created most of my own classroom teaching materials and/or adapted materials I've found elsewhere to meet the needs of my students who have been newcomers, beginning, intermediate, and advanced English learners. My teaching materials are suitable for most upper elementary and secondary students due to the high interest in topics and adaptable to meet your students' needs.
High expectations my students will succeed by my attempts to engage students through choices, understanding of their learning styles and multiple intelligences, and academic rigor.
