Hello! I started my teaching career in 2010 after graduating with a Bachelor's degree. Over the past 11 years, I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade Science/Social Studies. I also taught Special Education K-2 (resource and push-in) after receiving my Master's degree in Exceptional Children K-12 in 2012. I am currently teaching first grade in Wild and Wonderful West Virginia!
I have taught a variety of learners including English as a Second Language, 504, SPED, and at-risk students. I absolutely love teaching the foundational skills and am also attempting to find my place in the TPT world! I have so many things to share with others and love finding new things from other educators! :)
In my classroom, I believe that relationships come first and strongly believe in building a fun and respectful classroom community. I don't have a particular teaching style. I like to change things up whenever I see something isn't working for my students and I am very flexible when it comes to the needs of my students.
