TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began my teaching journey by interning in one of Florida's first "F" schools in 1999; since then, I have taught in a suburban "A" school in Florida to a rural high school in the South.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am highly interactive with students. I incorporate technology, but my lessons are not dependent upon teacher and student mastery of it.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am a Nationally Board Certified Teacher, and I am recertified, which means I will have held this title for 20 years! I was a staff developer for my district, supporting English and Reading teachers throughout my county, and I presented at NCTE in 2000.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I earned both my Bachelor of Arts and Master's of Science in English Education from Florida State University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a married mom of two teenage boys. Life with them is full and crazy-- but I wouldn't have it any other way!
