TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I taught for 5 years in the public school systems of North Carolina. I am now in my 4th year at a private school in North Carolina.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I been experimenting this year with reversing the ordering I teach. For homework my students watch my videos. They take notes and learn the material on their own. When they come to class they complete what is traditionally done for homework. I have found great success. All of my students are engaged. They are seated in groups so they can help each other. I float around the room answering questions the group members can not answer for themselves. Each day ends with a short quiz to show them and myself they have mastered the material.
