TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Lived in Mexico for 3 years and developed and taught English to young adult students that were trying to get their high school equivalent certificate. Also developed an English program and taught the restaurant staff at a popular restaurant in the center of town in Queretaro, Mexico. In recent years, I developed an art history program that was taught in an elementary school by parent volunteers. Each month a parent introduced an artist to each grade 1st - 5th grade.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have a facilitation teaching style. I design activities that connect to the learning style of the students and try to make the learning process fun!

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Lived abroad as an expatriate partner in Querétaro, Mexico, Campinas, Brazil, and Zurich, Switzerland. The magnitude and types of changes from this international experience have created new global perspectives and cultural / diversity awareness. Found opportunities to make a difference by teaching ESL to young adults and restaurant staff for 3 years in Mexico. Prior to living abroad, I was a project manager and trainer for 18 years for a Fortune 500 company. I taught Adult Literacy in Chicago from 1993 to 2002.
