I have been teaching English for over 20 years. I have taught secondary English, primarily high school, for the past 17 years. I currently teach English 12, ELD I/II and Support, as well as Continuation English (Credit Recovery). I created the curriculum for al lrecovery courses. I have been a club advisor, grade level lead, and been a member of the District Pacing Guide Committee, Tireless Teacher Coordinator, Mentor Teacher, and I currently run the district and my high school's Super Saturday Program. I have taught throughout the United States and taught English in both American and Cram schools in Japan.
I prefer to teach using visuals to include pictures, drawings, videos, and music. I believe that students who are exposed to several different styles and teaching options have a higher rate of learning and retention.
