I was born, raised, and spent three years teaching in Bonduel, a small community in Northeast Wisconsin. I have also had the opportunity expand my worldly knowledge by teaching ESL in South Korean for 2+ years and by teaching high school in New Zealand for 2 years. I currently teach in Brookfield, WI, a suburb of Milwaukee. These experiences in economically, academically, and racially diverse placement have made me the educator I am today.
I pride myself of developing engaging lessons without losing focus of the objectives. I aim to incorporate historical thinking skills into all of my lessons. My classroom is usually a loud one, with students engaging vocally with one another and with the class as a whole. I am cognizant that each and every students is struggling with something in their lives, so I strive to make my classroom a place of enjoyment for every student. Plus, happy kids = happy teacher!
