TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm currently in my sixth year of teaching : ) I work in a bilingual school, teaching K4 - 8th grade general music, choir, band, ukulele, and guitar. I also have been teaching piano lessons for about 15 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love teaching through games, dance, and hands-on activities. Currently my school district is in-person, but I like to have virtual options at hand just in case!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Fun fact! I used to work in a sensory neuroscience, attention, & perception lab, studying music perception and the role of music education. I was able to present my study and findings at a research conference. You can check out the abstract below if you're interested! http://www.contrib.andrew.cmu.edu/~randall/publications/APCAM2015_final.pdf

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Education and minor in Psychology from University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Music Education.
