TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching for 10+ years to students of all ages. I've taught ESL to pre-k - adult students in Thailand, Spain and in Cambridge, MA. I taught middle school science and computer science/STEM/STEAM in Boston Public Schools for 6 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal as a teacher is to create a calm and creative learning environment where students of all types of learning styles can have access to learning while having fun. All lessons are designed to be student centered, and interactive or hands-on. I believe it is important for students to learn in a safe space and that their identities are seen in the images and stories they consume in the classroom.

I earned a bachelor of arts in elementary education and visual arts with a science minor from Wheelock College in Boston, MA. I later earned my masters in science education for grades 5-8 at Cambridge College.

In my free time I love to hike with my dog, make art, sing, learn, and read in my hammock.
