I have fourteen years of teaching experience in NYC public high schools. In addition to writing IEPs and Transition to Adulthood plans, I teach English and Drama in Integrated Co-Teaching classrooms where I support students with a wide range of skills to grow and do their best work.
I create active learning activities that encourage students to collaborate and support each other!
My drama students have been selected to participate in special programs and residencies with world class arts organizations including The Upright Citizens Brigade Teen Improv Festival in NYC, the International Digital Theatre Project with C and T Theatre of Worcester, England, The English Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition, and the Shakespeare Smackdown at NYC's Classic Stage Company.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Theatre from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. After joining the NYC Teaching Fellows, I earned a master's degree in Special Education with a focus in Learning Disabilities from Hunter College, City University of New York.
