I am a homeschooling grandmother who started her curriculum after being unable to find anything we were happy with. I have created books that go book by book through the Bible, bringing all subjects from that area. We have many electives that complement our primary education resources. We are releasing new material a few at a time. We have been homeschooling for 24 years, and I have studied World Religions. Our homeschool family includes a police officer, management, and owning their businesses. I have created our curriculum to be affordable and stay true to the Words of God.
We have a range of teaching styles in our curriculum. Our primary curriculum journals instead of fill-in-the-blank books. I feel each of our journeys to come to know the Lord is personal and filling in someone else's words is not leading them in their path to Christ.
We are pretty new to writing books to be used by others. The only awards we have some reviews on Amazon and our website. I will not renew that after seeing a few recent things between other curriculum providers. I have no desire to be in such a competitive world. We are focused only on studying the word of God and teaching our children with some interests - based books we create. What you will find in our electives is there are three levels for each title. This is a huge blessing if your children prefer to do school as a group like ours.
I studied world religions at Mid-Western but did not complete my studies. I became a homeschool mom reaching back over 25 years ago. We are now homeschooling my grandchildren and this curriculum is being created based on their needs and our family.
GOD FIRST CURRICULUM One of the things I always felt was lacking in any curriculum I used was the Bible. Yes, they had verses, and yes, they taught the Bible. But it was never the primary text that we brought all our subjects from that tied it all together. I wanted a curriculum that made God's word the final authority. He instructs us in Deuteronomy 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. To me, that sums up everything about what we should be teaching and how we should be teaching it. For my family, it was time to start putting God in our lives and education as he directed. I searched online for a curriculum that taught this way and could not ever find one. However, I feel God is leading me in this, and I will follow His lead.
