Dawn Igaz

My teaching experience covers a span of seventeen years and includes teaching first grade all the way through the last few years of high school. I have taught the gifted and talented as well as those students with learning and reading disabilities. I have a strong belief that if you can instill a love for reading that any student can become a creative and strong writer.

Teaching to all learning styles is imperative. My classroom instruction includes visual, auditory, and tactile kinesthetic components to engage all students in the learning process. Cooperative learning groups are utilized frequently in my class to encourage students to be an active part of the learning process. I also bring good teaching models to my curriculum because I think this is vital to learning.
