I currently work in a Resource-Inclusion classroom. We provide individualized learning supports and social supports to students with a variety of learning disabilities. I have worked in the SPED field for 14 years and I love it so much! It is, in my opinion, one of the most rewarding jobs out there!

We planned to do a decor refresh in our classroom before the start of the 23-24 school year. I created the new designs, and we were so excited to print cut and set up our improved room! Right before summer break we got the dreaded news that we would be moving classrooms. Our classroom was the best on campus, so moving was unfathomable. Once we saw our new room, it was so overwhelming to think about how we could possibly work summer school and have time to move and decorate our new classroom. We worked our butts off, during our 'summer break' and turned this neglected room into a beautiful, relaxing, and inviting space for our students. Now we can continue to be a safe landing spot for our students and run our groups in a space we can all appreciate. Other teachers on our campus saw our transformation and asked if I could work on their rooms as well. It blossomed into a really fun way to help other teachers on and off of our campus beautify or cuteify their classrooms :)
