Thom Borden has taught K-5 gereral music in Gary, IN and in the Chicago Public Schools. After a tenure as a national consultant, trainer and clinician with McGraw-Hill School Education Group, Thom returned to teaching PreK-5 in Clark County School District.
After completing both Kodaly and Orff Master Level certification, Thom teaches using a fusion of both pedegogy.

Thom Borden has a B.S. in Music Education and an M.A. in Education. He completed Orff Levels at UNLV and an Orff Master Level at the University of Memphis under Jos Wytac. Further studies include Orff pedagogy in France and Kodàly training from Colorado State University. Thom completed his certification at Silver Lake College with Sr. Lorna Zemke. . He is past-president of the Chicago Orff Chapter and has presented at numerous AOSA and OAKE Conferences in the US as well as in Australia. He spoke at the 2010 International Early Music and Music Conference and served on the International Early Childhood Music and Movement Board of Directors. Thom currently teaches PreK-5 in Las Vegas and published Orff arrangements in the McGraw-Hill series, Spotlight on Music™.
