Creative and Curious Companion

I have worked with kids my entire adult life, working at KinderCare Learning Centers in Glastonbury Connecticut, and being a nanny to several families in which I was able to travel abroad with them before having my own children whom I have been homeschooling for 10 years. For the past 5 years I have led a local homeschool group meeting weekly in nature and at organized field trip locations at nature centers.

I am a Wild + Free homeschooling mama! We are a book loving family and easily have over 1,000 books in our home library. We love exploring different techniques with watercolor art almost daily. We make handmade and written cards, spend lots of time in nature exploring, adventuring and discovering. For the past 2 years, my children and I have spent 2,000 hours a year outside. They thrive in nature.

My kids tell me every day that I am the best mommy in the whole world. That is an honor enough on it's own.

I am a 15 year NYS licensed massage therapist and love teaching my kids about anatomy and physiology among spending quality time together in nature and at home with friends and family.

I started the Creative and Curious Companion as a way to inspire others to cultivate a beauty-full and connected homeschool life. The watercolor aesthetics woven into my brand through each of my Companions, website and products brings a welcoming softness to naturally encourage a love of learning in both parents and children.
