Cooper's Math Tools

My son, James, and I both began our teaching career at the same time. We both began in Special Education and transitioned to math the same year. We now teach at the same school. He teaches 7th grade math and I teach 8th grade math. I worked in the business sector for over 20 years before becoming an educator. I have always enjoyed creating my own forms in business, so creating teaching tools and forms is a must.

Very detail oriented and organized. We have a strong desire to help students succeed in school and learn lifelong skills that will prepare them for life after school.

As a mother of a child with special needs, I desired to go into education to “pay it back”. I saw the struggles my younger son faced, in addition to the struggles the teachers faced in trying to serve him. I chose to return to college and obtain my teaching certificate in order to help other students succeed in school. James had a heart for helping others at a very early age. He developed an early understanding of children with special needs because he helped with his younger brother. James has a creative mind and a desire to help children learn. I am very detail oriented and have a background of completing government documents in the business world. I also have successful experience in streamlining processes and very strong organizational skills.
