High School Educator for 18 years with a specialization in business education.
My philosophy is simple: Make business fun. Make it cool. How do I do that? Review games. Interactive activities. Group work. Music. Of course, there's standard education fare in my class: notes, assignments, tests. But even these can be engaging: class discussions, collaborative projects. Well, fine, the tests aren't very exciting. Add a splash of humor and I've got a cool business class that'll keep a generally tired and moderately motivated teen semi-excited about being in a business class and ensure they come back for more.
Voted "Coolest Teacher" by the students (out of 85 teachers) for the past two years. This, despite being "ancient", so I must be doing something right.
