I have studied Spanish for 17 years and been lucky enough to spend time living and learning in Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Spain. I've taught in both private and public settings at the high school level (beginning to advanced placement) for four years. In the past five years, I've created curricula for various purposes with this past year culminating in creating and pioneering a new three-year program for heritage Spanish speakers at the local high school. In addition to my time as a language educator, I have spent nine years as an outdoor educator focused on building leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills along with technical outdoor skills.
