Hi! My name is Fana. I am a mother of two living in Bali. I was born in Pakistan and I have been in Indonesia for the past 25 years. I have a background in design; however, I have been teaching for the last twelve years.  I earned my CICTT (Cambridge International Certificate for Teachers and Trainers) certificate early on in my career.  I have taught English language in early years up to grade 10.  I was the vice principal for junior high school in Jakarta.  I have experience in teaching the Cambridge Curriculum and the IB PYP curriculum. I am also familiar with the government curriculum.  I have completed many IB PYP trainings which include ‘Assessment in the Early Years’ and ‘Concept Based Teaching’.  I am an active member of many teaching websites and contribute original resources.  I have also directed many preschool plays and designed four yearbooks.

I try to help my students experience real life situations by involving a lot of hands on activities. We have fun projects, presentations, movie reviews, experiments and a lot of self and peer assessments. My goal is to help children become reflective learners continuing to improve and learn new things everyday. I am a firm believer in inquiry based learning and promote questions and enjoy seeing my students explore their ideas independently. I want them to be internationally minded, accept all cultures, learn from others and always ask questions.

Mother to a 6yo and 6mo. I have been married for almost seven years now. We own a family business in Bali. We feel blessed to be living on such a beautiful island and meeting people from all parts of the world.
