TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I started teaching in 2005 where I taught Core French to intermediate students. Through the years, I have taught all grades from 1-8, from homeroom teacher to à la carte rotary style teaching. I have a passion for teaching French, especially at the Primary French Immersion level.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Through the years, I have shifted my style considerably. I have seen how students learn a new language much more quickly when they are fully immersed and enjoying what they are doing! I started creating my own resources in the hopes of making learning French more fun and engaging for my students, which provide a variety of independent, partner and group work. Topics should be on things students can connect with and confidence should be built to encourage spontaneous conversations.
