TEACHING EXPERIENCE

18 years experience teaching French and ESL elementary grades through high school level. Taught overseas in France for 2 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Teaching and learning a language should be interactive and fun. Many of my lessons are largely based on speaking and listening activities and geared to getting students to take risks with language.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Fulbright participant to West Africa to create culturally relevant curriculum for French classrooms. Grant recipient to create a facilitated language study class, district honors and department chair, Teachers of Critical Languages Program mentor teacher, 2 years.
