I am currently in my eighth year of teaching. I have taught 1st and 5th Grades. I had an amazing first year teaching first grade where we did tons of fun activities, many of which you can find in my store. After a great first year, I was moved to 5th grade. I have a master's degree in Educational Technology, so I love to use technology to boost rigor and engagement in the classroom! I think students learn best when they are having fun, so we have a lot of fun in my classroom. I started my teaching career in 1st grade where I learned just how important fun hands-on activities are to student learning. After being moved to 5th grade, my thoughts on this have not changed. I still think kids learn best through inquiry, experiences, and hands-on activities!

I graduated from Western Kentucky University in fall 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I finished my master's degree in Educational Technology in 2015.
