TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teaching Experience I currently teach in a Toledo private school, MVCDS (Maumee Valley Country Day School), and have been teaching 5/6th grade math and science for the past three years. Before this school, I was a 4/5th grade science and ELA teacher at a local charter school in Toledo. I also have experience with:  Carver Resource Center: 2011-2014; Undergraduate Assistant in technology and curriculum resource center housed in the Judith Herb College of Education at the University of Toledo.  Camp Adventure Child and Youth Services: 6/2011-1/2013 Okinawa, Japan (12 weeks) Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (1 week) Landstuhl, Germany (4weeks) I served as a camp counselor and also taught and worked with children, ages 5-12, on military bases.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Always having a student-centered approach along with inquiry based and project based units best describes how I teach. I love providing students with hands on experiences that are meaningful.
