Cindy's Bilingual Box

13+ years of experience as a grade school teacher in both urban and suburban communities. I've taught kindergarten, 1st, split K/1, 2nd and 3rd grade. I hold endorsements in ESL, Spanish, Middle School, and as a Reading Specialist. 8+ years of experience as a foreign language teacher at Language Stars working with children 8 months to 8 years old. Currently, I'm working as a Dual Language Kindergarten Teacher in Downers Grove. I've been the owner and author of Cindy's Bilingual Box since 2011.

My teaching style is student centered. I try to honor each student's social and emotional needs. Academically, I enjoy integrating my lessons, keeping up with educational best practices and designing resources that are used daily in my classroom. Being a teacher means being committed to a life of learning and the certainty that our work will shape our young and precious minds.
