Over 20 years of chemistry experience in the classroom, as well as experience working in the chemical and biochemical industry!

I employ a passionate, lecture driven teaching style, that focuses on inquiry based, investigatory laboratory activities! Relating information to real world experience is a must!

- Personally mentored and conducted research with dozens of students who received purple ribbons at the GSL Monsanto Science Fair, as well as several division and grade level winners - Personally coached and mentored numbers of students who won district, state, and national awards, as well as district, state, and national championships and titles in various events in speech and debate - Personally coached Mock Trial teams that were district and state finalists several years in a row - Co-coached several robotics teams that were district finalists several years in a row - Received Teacher of the Month accolades from the NHS several times - Gave Commencement Speech 2002 and 2013, elected by students - Received Homecoming Grand Marshall Honors several times - Teacher of the Year Finalist 2007 - Received Outstanding Teacher Award from Missouri Scholars Academy - Received Outstanding Teacher Award from UM School of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources - Received Presidential Scholars Most Influential Teacher award from The White House - Received the Science Teachers of Missouri Teacher of the Year Award in 2017 - Voted Manchester Citizen of the Year in 2016 - Recognized as one of the top ten outstanding research interns during the summer of 2008 out of over 80 graduate research interns at Pfizer - Researchers were required to present their findings at a two-hour question and answer poster session. - Paper was entitled, "Correlation of Concentration Determinations of IgG1 and IgG2 antibodies between UV Spectroscopy and CFCA Utilizing SPR.”
