TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Geometry (1 year), Algebra 2 (3 years), 7th grade math (3 years) including 1 year as the Math Department Lead Teacher, and a mentor teacher within the Memphis Teacher Residency program

MY TEACHING STYLE

Every person CAN do math and in my classroom, my goal is to help each student recognize their ability to do so. In our class, we focus on growing as mathematicians through the Standards for Mathematical Practices. Students are rarely sitting in rows listening to a lecture. Rather, students are standing up, working in groups at whiteboards to discover new skills and growing their understanding together.
