Celtic Heritage Foundation is proud to have a diverse education history among its advisors and board: Chief Advisor Kieran O'Mahony received his Masters in Education in Ireland, and then earned his PhD in Cognitive Neuro-science from the University of Washington in Seattle. As a Learning Scientist at the National Science Foundation’s LIFE Center, Kieran engages in design-based implementation research and is published in peer-reviewed journals. His work involves a translation of latest findings in molecular neuroscience into practices and strategies for improving learning in K-12 schools and designing personalized learning that enhances individual learners’ potential ( www.neuroteachers.org). Our board members have decades of education experiences: a retired teacher and principal K-12; retired college professor for art; current college professor teaching anatomy; children music teacher. All have certifications/degrees in childhood development or education.
The Celtic Heritage Foundation was formed in 2020 and received all assets from the dissolved non-profit Celtic Life & Heritage Foundation, including all the education modules. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit corporation whose purpose is to preserve the Celtic heritage for the benefit of Americans of Celtic descent The Foundation celebrates and preserves Celtic heritage through education modules, vignettes, food recipes, celebration of culture and language found on the website: www.CelticHF.org
