I am a certified middle school teacher who has been teaching for 12 years in the public school system. I have taught from 6th-8th grade levels mainly in ELA. Through the years I have created items for myself and my students in the classroom that I saw and felt they needed and has honestly worked for us and me. I thought it might be time to share in case if there is anyone that might be looking for it.
I have a fun yet structured classroom where everyone feels safe, respected and heard. We all need structure to function and that's what I have implemented in my classroom. I am a fun stickler if that's a thing, but it is so we can all try to have as much fun learning as possible. These items I have implemented in my classroom are what I use on a daily to have my days go by smoothly so my students day will also hopefully go without a hitch, at least in my class.
Over the years, I have been honored with Team Lead for 4 years, Teacher of the Month, and Teacher of the Year nominations.
I gradated from High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree at an accredited Texas University, UTRGV previously known as UTPA. I received my Generalist teaching certification for the middle school grade levels with an ESL supplement. I have received Google Certification as well and I continue every year to develop and nurture my teaching methods. We all truly do learn something new everyday.
I have 2 beautiful sweet rescue dogs that keep me centered and bring so much joy to my life. I am also a pandemic newlywed and middle sister and daughter to my loving parents and love to live life surrounded by love. I do truly believe there is good in the world and in everyone!
