Extensive first hand senior Coast Guard officer experience with disaster response, recovery and planning. Events included Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ike, Haiti earthquake recovery, Deepwater Horizon oil spill and maritime security planning for the 2011 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) conference held in Honolulu, HI.
