I have 14 years of teaching experience and a Master's Degree in Education. Half of my teaching career has been teaching Gifted and Talented students in grades 2-8. I've also taught Reading Intervention, elementary and middle school Spanish, and in the classroom teaching 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. I've also been a Student Council Advisor in a middle school and elementary school for a combined total of 7 years. I took both programs from a file folder of lose papers to an organized, student-run Student Council.
I've taught in different STEAM schools and I always try to incorporate STEAM and/or Project Based Learning into every day lessons. I've always strived to find the best ways to reach my students to grow their critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and deeper understanding of topics while having fun. As a gifted and talented teacher, I try to push students to achieve what they are capable of and try to help my fellow teachers understand differentiation and how to incorporate it more easily into their classrooms. I love using technology as a way for students to learn- not just as an enhancement to my lessons or as a digital way to display the same information.
I was named Teacher of the Month by a local radio station. I was awarded the Graduate Award in Education at Northern Vermont University in 2019 for my work in my master's degree program.
I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2005 from College of the Ozarks in Branson, MO. I have endorsements in Spanish K-9, Gifted and Talented K-8, and Middle School Language Arts. I took graduate classes at the University of Missouri to receive my Gifted and Talented certification from 2005-2007. I completed my Master's of Arts in Education Degree at Northern Vermont University in 2019. I hold a continuous teaching license in the state of Missouri and a Standard II license in the state of North Carolina and Vermont for all of the above mentioned licensing areas.
I am a creative person who loves reading, writing and is passionate about gifted education and helping all students reach their fullest potential. I also love helping others. My store name changed from Ashley Stout to Camp Partridge in 2020 when I launched my new business. I have online summer camps for campers ages 10-16 who want to be digital creators, a course to help parents juggle remote learning at home, as well as new teacher resources! I'm excited to share this journey with you while still creating the same great products you know and love!
