I am currently a secondary Sp. Ed. Resource Inclusion Teacher in the Providence Public Schools in Providence, RI. As of March, 2011, I was substitute teaching in Barrington, RI and needed to obtain my Rhode Island certifications via “enhanced reciprocity” between Massachusetts and Rhode Island. I did obtain 2 Rhode Island Teaching Certifications on March 15, 2011: •Secondary Computer Science •Special Educator-Mild Moderate Mid/Sec Level Given my versatility and dedication of teaching in several curricular areas [with an emphasis in Computer Technology], I am able to teach/tutor in various subject areas. I have Massachusetts teaching licenses/certifications in Instructional Technology [All Levels], Special Education [5-12], and Business [5-12]. I have been a teacher for 21 years and taught Business and Computer Technology for several years at a career and technical high school in Western Massachusetts.
I teach from a holistic approach and often use project-based assignments to help with higher critical thinking skills and I also, include more than one discipline.
Received Governor's recognition while attending college in St. Louis, MO for involving myself in mathematics courses for methods of teaching students math via innovative, creative strategies.
