TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching K-5 (6) music for 12 years! I love what I do and am always motivated to use new and fresh materials all the time to keep the students and myself excited about learning about and making music.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that everyone can make music and include anyone who wants to participate in my classroom. I use the Orff approach to teaching music and also love to explore music from around the world. I like to have structure and a routine in our classroom as well as a classroom agreement that I find keeps us all on the same path. I believe technology and the inquiry approach to teaching plays a big part in motivating our learners and incorporate that in my teaching of music.
