TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a California credentialed teacher with a Master's degree in education. and have taught in the California public school system for 7 years in a Title 1 school. I have taught multiple subjects in self contained classrooms of 2nd grade, 5th grade, and 3rd grade. I have also worked with a wide range of students from PreK up to high school through personalized academic tutoring sessions and substitute teaching. While in the classroom, I was the math coach for grades K-5 and also enriched the academics of our population of gifted students. Although I am currently out of the classroom, I still enjoy creating and sharing meaningful resources for my tutoring students and fellow teachers to use!

MY TEACHING STYLE

Learning should be fun! There are many demands for students today. I believe we can meet them all in fun and engaging ways! Teaching children the love of learning is a valuable lesson. All students can become independent thinkers and I enjoy helping them reach that point. I enjoy the challenge of finding the full potential of each and every one of my students and teaching them to push themselves beyond that point!
