I have survived 10 years as a public school teacher! I have had the pleasure of teaching at many different elementary schools in the Moriarty Edgewood School District in New Mexico. I have taught kindergarten for three years and spent another seven years in first grade. I am a first grade lover.
I believe in creating an active learning environment modified to the specific needs of my students, in hopes of encouraging them to reach their full potential! I strive to establish a structured environment that will allow students to learn from hands on experiences. Students are always encouraged to take ownership in their learning through the use of data driven instruction. My classroom is a safe and positive place for learning to take place. As an educator, I try to bring in my passion for the arts and sciences into my classroom. I believe learning should still be FUN!
