TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 20 years. I have a wide range of experience including 1st -4th grade, 7th and 8th grade, special education, and physical education. I enjoy each age level, but I currently teach a 4th grade homeroom.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I prefer to have my students up and moving around. I have developed a series of games to use while teaching reading. I call this Readercise. I have also developed an active way to teach math review, and I like to call this mAthletics. I feel that students are more engaged and willing to learn when they don't have to sit still.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Health and Physical Education. I have a Master's Degree in Special Education. I hold a teaching certificate in both areas as well as in Pre-K-5 General Education.
