Mark Linley is a public school teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching full time in the primary grades. He regularly uses the materials featured here on Teachers Pay Teachers in his own classroom.

Eclectic, rigorous, whole child, child centered, project oriented, early literacy focused. I have been teaching in the primary grades for nineteen years. I use CVC Storybooks as a tool in my own classroom, as part of an extensive and well developed systematic early literacy program - a program which I have pieced together and developed myself over the course of my career. Sentence Starters are useful for teaching children early writing skills such as storytelling, self-reflection, world knowledge, sharing, sentence constructions, imaginary worlds, illustration, and invented spelling. Directed Drawings help with geometry instruction, early drawing skills, following directions step by step, and fine motor development. I put a lot of effort into making resources to use with my own students. I hope what you find here will be useful to you.
