I have experience teaching the primary grades JK to grade 3 over the past 30+ years.

Provide lots of hands-on activities, give repetition in a variety of ways, draw in real-life connections, encourage independence so each child believes in him or herself, and have lots of fun along the way so each child wants to keep coming back for more.

Creating activities has always been a passion of mine. For more than 30 years that's what I've done. I'm constantly creating and improving on activities that allow for the best learning from everyone in the classroom. No two children are alike. Some have greater needs than others. When making activities I keep in mind that everyone needs an opportunity to achieve success. My new challenge is to create activities that require less paper.
