ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My Grandmother was a teacher in a one room schoolhouse in 1918, until she married. My mother was a teacher for 35 years and I watched her work, draw, and create on the weekends. In college, I knew I wanted to be a teacher, either an art teacher or a music teacher. Junior year, changed my mind and chose to follow the elementary education path as well. I have been able to utilize my love for both art and music over the years with my students. It was a smart move!
