TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I earned a Masters Degree in Science Education. I taught in the Florida Education system for 9 years and now teaching Internationally for 8 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

As a science teacher, I believe my students need to be doing science, so I have a lot of activities and labs posted. I also believe students need to read and annotate, so you will see guided reading activities. And finally, Post Covid Changed my assessment styles. I now believe the future of society is in creating! So instead of multiple choice exams, I moved to Project based Assessments. The project usually includes a creation component and writing component.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was recognized by my former Principal in an email as a mitochondria. "I truly appreciate your work and willingness to be an early adopter. I don't often convey to you how highly I regard your work, but I find you to be a quiet powerhouse." There is no other higher honor.
